Major Rules for Cam and Content Sites. Follow the rules.

As we approach the end of the year and the start of the next, it’s a good time to refresh ourselves with the major rules that reputable cam and content sites have.

These rules are designed to protect models, content creators, and platforms, while ensuring compliance with credit card processors’ regulations.

Rule #1: Only Verified Adult Models Allowed

  • All participants must be age-verified adults:
    • Models must be consenting adults verified by the platform before appearing on camera.
    • As a video producer, you must have model releases and ID for anyone featured in your videos, even briefly.
  • No unauthorized content usage:
    • You cannot use content uploaded by others without their explicit permission.
    • You must have the rights and documentation for all models in the content.

Rule #2: No Fraudulent, Illegal, or Obscene Activities

  • Account consequences:
    • Participating in fraud, illegal activities, or obscene acts will result in account closure and forfeited earnings.
  • Prohibited activities:
    • Underage or incest roleplay is strictly forbidden.
    • Activities involving bodily functions (e.g., urination, blood, or defecation) are not allowed.
  • Stay cautious:
    • If you’re unsure about any activity, consult the platform’s rules.
    • Report suspicious behavior with screenshots to protect yourself and the platform.

Rule #3: Do Not Take Members Offsite for Payments

  • Onsite transactions only:
    • Most platforms prohibit taking members offsite to pay via other methods.
    • Even if linking to social media is allowed, advertising non-adult payment methods (e.g., PayPal, CashApp) is prohibited.
  • High-risk transactions:
    • Non-adult payment processors often freeze or keep funds for breaking their rules.
  • Impact of offsite transactions:
    • Diverting members reduces traffic and potential earnings for the platform and other creators.
    • Retaining members onsite ensures their return and benefits all models.

Rule #4: No Drug Use on Camera

  • Prohibited substances:
    • Includes recreational and medical marijuana, as it’s not federally legal in the U.S.
    • The credit card processors ban any form of drug use or paraphernalia on camera.
  • Why this rule exists:
    • Drug use raises questions about valid consent, so it’s avoided altogether.
    • Platforms cannot make exceptions based on personal health details.

Follow These Rules for a Safe and Successful Experience

By adhering to these four major rules, you can protect yourself and the platform, ensuring a positive and sustainable experience for everyone involved.
